Kick!
Brief
Inspired by Monster at Walygator Park in France. Festival Gardens has been successful with summer outdoor activities and is looking to expand it’s offering with some permanent attractions. They have to be thrilling and appeal to thrill seeking young adults, but to save money all attractions must be bought second hand. The park doesn’t have much money and most of it will be spent on the ride hardware so you must find a way to present the ride in an exciting way with a very small budget.
Solution
Kick! has taken its design from intense 90’s B&M Inverts, I wanted to use landscaping and colour to give the attractions personality in the absence of a high budget. The bright colour scheme is displayed through vibrant flags and painted murals to give the area a summery and lively feel.
The coaster’s design is a re-imagining of Raptor at Cedar Point and Monster, the elements have high forces and quick transitions for a truly classic rollercoaster experience. Kick! fills the space and acts as the main focal point in the area, Paths weave between elements so there are plenty of vantage points and areas to watch the ride.

Drop & Float
Kick! is complimented by two other refurbished rides, an Intamin drop tower and a paratrooper family ride. I wanted to make names and logo identities that felt comfortable next to Kick!
